SABA Chadstone
Melbourne
Inspired by a New York style loft, the materiality and texture utilised in SABA Chadstone store are a nod to the history of retail and making. The exposed brick internal walls, clustered pendant lighting and thick expressed timber display joinery elements express an industrial element, while the white colour palette contemporises them. Based on the idea of stacking bricks and carving out colonnades for displays, the brand is referencing their beginnings in 1965, as the Joseph SABA Shirt Shop in Flinders Lane, Melbourne. This circling back of history, reflects the growth of the brand, respectfully acknowledging its beginnings.
